Project overview
Context:
This group entrepreneurship project involved creating Motion, a fictional mobile application designed to make organising sports activities easier and more motivating.
The initial concept focused on helping friends and amateur sports communities coordinate their availability, energy level, location and preferred activity without relying on endless group messages.
The brand was then adapted to two professional communication contexts: an institutional marketing video in English and a partnership proposal in Spanish.
Objectives:
Define a viable mobile application concept
Build a clear brand identity and value proposition
Adapt the same offer to different audiences and communication goals
Produce professional content in French, English and Spanish.
Process description
Tools Used
Microsoft Word was used to develop the business plan, market analysis, scripts and communication strategy.
Canva was used to design the brand identity, app mockups, presentations and final videos. The project was completed with a French press kit exported as a PDF.
Methodology
We approached Motion as a fictional brand launch, starting from the product idea before moving on to the communication materials.
Brainstorming around the concept, target users and main features
Online research and competitor monitoring in the sports, wellbeing and community-app market
Definition of the brand identity, positioning and main messages
Development of the business model and communication strategy
Adaptation of the project to French, English and Spanish audiences
The business plan then acted as a common base for the other deliverables. From there, we adapted the content depending on the format and audience rather than repeating or translating the same message each time.
Work Organisation
The project was completed by a four-person team. We created a WhatsApp group to coordinate the work, share ideas, send documents and keep track of what still had to be done between classes.
We also met in person several times to brainstorm, make decisions together and work more concretely on the business concept, scripts and videos.
Tasks were divided according to the different parts of the project, but we regularly reviewed each other’s work to keep the brand, product positioning and messages consistent.
We also carried out online research and some competitor monitoring as a group, which helped us refine the concept and compare Motion with existing apps and services.
Within the fictional company, the roles were divided between technical leadership, customer experience and marketing, finance, and communication. Each member also contributed to the company concept and appeared in both videos.
My Role
Spokesperson & Technical Lead
Within the fictional company, I acted as Motion’s CEO, CTO and spokesperson.
My role focused on the technical positioning of the platform, the way its main features were presented and the overall credibility of the product. I also represented the company externally and helped explain how Motion could be useful for both individual users and partner organisations.
Bilingual Video Speaker
I presented Motion’s community, health and gamification features in the English and Spanish videos. In the Spanish pitch, I also introduced the platform and invited the potential partner to attend a live demonstration.
Press Spokesperson
I was identified as the editorial and press contact in the French press kit.
This role involved presenting Motion in a more institutional context and serving as the main point of contact for external communication related to the fictional company.

Acquis
